Another hot day in Wellington so took out the Tindall family for their first sail on Halo. Left Chaffers Marina at 1600 hrs and hoisted the Main and No. 3 Jib and sailed across the harbour with Graciela on helm with light NW breezes. Anzak put out the fishing line but no bites. Tennyson and Imogene were very good on the boat with their lifejackets on and we had a relaxing sail to Kau Bay. Picked up the club mooring at 1655 hrs.
Pumped up the dinghy and had fun in the water. Imogene, Tennyson, Graciela and Geoff all had a swim. Water was a bit cool initially but great once you got acclimatised. Tennyson didn’t want to get out! After snacks and a cuppa we departed Kau Bay at 1815 hrs and with Anzak on helm we sailed back to Chaffers Marina and berthed at 1914 hrs.
Very hot back at the marina (30+ degrees).
