Friday motored Halo round to Evans Bay for a 9 am appointment with Sven at the Quickslip. Washed the hull and then parked Halo on the hard. With Sven’s help we enlarged the thru-hole to fit the new NASA Clipper Electromagnetic Speed sensor. Sealed the hole with Sikaflax then applied undercoat and then some antifoul around the hole. This instrument will allow us to monitor speed thu the water (STW) in addition to our speed over ground (SOG) instrument.
While waiting for paint to dry, wired up the transducer to the new instrument display and connected the NMEA data into the multiplexer. Also finished wiring up the new Trudesign Holding Tank indicator.
Replaced the 1″ Zinc Anode on the prop shaft.
With Grant’s help we launched Halo back in the water on Tuesday and motored back to Chaffers marina.
